She captures her reflection then she throws the mirror to the floor. Her image is distorted screaming,
"Is it worth it anymore?"
Coming to Liberia has been, in someways, different to what I thought but in a lot of ways I kind of expected certain things. But I think the things I expected are a bit harder to see. I think no matter how much you prepare yourself before you come out here you think “right I’ve seen the adverts, I’ve seen stuff, I’ve read about it” and then you get here and it’s like “wow”
“So many things have made me smile a lot. As upsetting as it is like, just being around everyone here like, everyone’s so happy, no one get’s down about it. The kids are so happy here, they’re all smiling. And it just.. ah, it’s just amazing. We went to this little church and we saw all the women and the men singing, and it just.. it was amazing. The whole community is just incredible; they are all there for each other and it’s just.. it- it’s just- it’s literally a different world.”
